irregular glass material

hi all,

i'm working on an architectural visualization and really like the visual quality and light effects of this lamp.  the question i would like to submit to the forum is whether or not this effect is possible to achieve in vray and whether it is best to model the lamp and apply a glass material to it or to create an irregular glass material and apply it to a sphere.  also ideas and suggestions on how i could do this are very much appreciated.  Smile

Thanks!

RE: irregular glass material

you could try taking a standard glass material from this site and experiment with some kind of cell map in the bump map slot

RE: irregular glass material
